SUMMER EVENTS
The 4th of July Water Carnival tradition continues on the shores of Lake Bemidji.  Join the summertime fun on the midway and in the evening at the entertainment tent. Fireworks over Lake Bemidji and the Grand Day Parade are highlights of the week long celebration.
July 18-19 the annual 'Art in the Park'  juried craft fair includes a community created pageant produced by  'In the Heart of the
Beast' Puppet & Mask Theater, staged at waterfront of Lake Bemidji. The creativity and message of the pageant will speak to hearts and minds of all ages.
Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival features two full days of fun for the entire family. Spectators can view the entire race course from the shady and natural amphitheater of the waterfront park venue.  Great food, music, kid's activities, a parade of teams, downtown Crazy Dayz shopping and much more make this the event of the year!
 
FIRST CITY OF ARTS
Visual, theater and musical art opportunities
flourish in the Bemidji area.  Stroll along the downtown Art Walk  to discover sculptures, murals and galleries on street corners and buildings.
The Paul Bunyan Playhouse, professional theater tradition for over 50 years, presents classic productions June through August.  Check the Event Calendar for a variety of musical performances at local pubs, Lake Bemidji State Park amphitheater and Wild Rose Theater throughout the year.
