The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission on June 27 offered a five-point proposal for state legislation that would require more accurate, up-to-date financial information from grain buyers, and would impose criminal penalties if the information is false
Members of the Falkirk Elevators — stations at Falkirk, N.D., and Hazen, N.D., — gathered June 25 in the basement of the Memorial Hall building in Washburn and voted 88-1 to liquidate the elevators, ending nearly 100 years of grain house history in both locations.
OLIVIA — The University of Minnesota Extension and Renville County Extension will provide area farmers and ag professionals with an agronomy update for corn and soybean production from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at Max’s Grill in Olivia.
