A Michigan meat processing plant has recalled 1.8 million pounds of ground beef for possible contamination with the E.coli bacteria, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced on Monday.
A California company is recalling 8.7 million pounds of beef parts because it used “diseased and unsound animals” and lacked proper federal inspections, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said on Saturday.
