GLENBURN, N.D. — Measure 2 needs to be carefully looked at before the June primary. I don’t like paying taxes more than anyone else and I think North Dakota’s real estate or property taxes are higher than needed in view of the state surplus situation. However, eliminating all property taxes as proposed is not the answer.

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama proposed a multi-trillion-dollar-budget Feb. 13. The president said the budget is designed to spur job creation and impose higher taxes on the rich. FARGO, N.D. — North Dakota farm land values increased an average of 14 percent in 2011, according to an annual survey of appraisers and other real estate professionals. That figure is especially impressive because it is the second year of double-digit increases.
The Stutsman County Commission heard a report on increases to property assessments for residential property in Jamestown and raised agriculture land assessments outside of the city during a meeting Tuesday.
