The state Agriculture Department is holding a public hearing on possible changes to North Dakota’s state noxious weeds list.
The hearing is 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Best Western Seven Seas Hotel in Mandan.
North Dakota weed control officials say absinth wormwood appears to be spreading.
Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said there are more reports of large infestations of the weed, particularly in the western part of the state. He said there also have been reports of some retail garden suppliers selling the flowering weed.
