The majority of soy exporting firms in Brazil have still not agreed to collect royalties for seed giant Monsanto Co., threatening sales of up to a quarter of the country’s soy crop, industry association Abiove said on Oct. 23.
NEW YORK — Monsanto Co. has been forced to cut prices on its Roundup weedkiller due to intensifying competition from generics and company shares slumped to a three-year low Thursday on more modest profit expectations.
Officials with Monsanto Co. say the multimillion dollar project will add 20 jobs and provide soybean seeds for farmers in North Dakota and Minnesota.
