HETTINGER — Producers in Adams County will have an $18 million grain elevator to export wheat, giving them a chance at competitive prices and more markets, officials said Monday at the Adams County Courthouse.

The North Dakota Public Service Commission was on-site at Falkirk, N.D., on Monday, looking into the books of the Falkirk Farmers Elevator in McLean County, in response to reports that the company had closed its doors late last week.
FARGO, N.D. — The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission revoked Anderson Seed Co.’s grain buyers license at its Redfield, S.D., plant, but will not put the company’s elevator property into receivership because of an environmental issue, officials say.

McHenry County authorities say two men and a boy have been arrested in the theft of more than 3,000 bushels of grain at a Voltaire elevator. The sheriff's department says the grain is valued at about $30,000.
