I am somewhat surprised at the rather laid back attitude toward the nitrogen plant being planned northwest of Grand Forks, N.D. A recent article regarding rail transport of the product through Grand Forks concentrated more on inconveniences additional trains could cause, and not the inherent dangers.
A Grand Forks, N.D., soil health workshop sponsored by local, county, state and federal organizations, drew upwards of 200 agriculturalists, most from northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. This year’s attendance was nearly double that of a year ago.
