WASHINGTON — Unfortunately, the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation recently included the double-deck trailer ban in S. 1950, the Commercial Motor Vehicle Enhancement Act of 2011.
For the past eight decades, the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association has worked hard to help ranchers build a life in the industry. This fall, the association celebrates its 80th anniversary at the Doublewood Inn in Bismarck Sept. 24-26, with an Annual Convention & Trade Show, “Building a Life.” The agenda is designed to help North Dakota ranchers continue to build their lives as beef producers.
Cattle producer and former executive vice president of the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association, Wade Moser of Bismarck, N.D., will be recognized with the association’s highest honor, the Top Hand Award, during the 80th Annual NDSA Convention & Trade Show in Bismarck, Sept. 26.
The North Dakota Stockmen’s Association’s board of directors at its quarterly meeting on March 12 agreed that recent events in the meat packing industry were cause for concern.
