MINNEAPOLIS — A lawsuit challenging the University of Minnesota's exclusive licensing deal for its hot-selling SweeTango apple is ending with a victory for the school and the orchard in charge of marketing the variety nationwide.
MINNEAPOLIS — A judge has dismissed most legal claims against the University of Minnesota in a lawsuit over licensing rights to the new SweeTango apple, and ordered the parties into mediation to try to resolve the dispute.
MINNEAPOLIS — When asked about the University of Minnesota’s exclusive contract with Pepin Heights Orchard for the distribution of the newly developed SweeTango apple, University General Counsel Mark Rotenberg replied that this deal “best serves the University and the public interest.”
