WASHINGTON — The week of May 14 marks a milestone in the history of our country and a legacy of President Abraham Lincoln. While he is known for many accomplishments, a little-known fact is that he established the U.S. Department of Agriculture 150 years ago.
U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack is taking to Twitter. Vilsack will host the first “USDA Virtual Office Hours on Twitter” at 1:30 p.m. ET (2:30 p.m. Central) on Thursday, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
