No settlement agreement in ADM lawsuit against North Dakota farmer
ADM, based in Illinois, alleges that Al Johnson and his Johnson Farms company improperly failed to live up to a deal to pay $2.5 million for a defunct ethanol plant in Walhalla. Johnson had promised $2.5 million for the facilities. When he didn't continue with the deal, ADM sold the facilities to others for $2 million.

Emergency responders mount massive effort to battle grass, forest fires in the region
Grass fires broke out along Interstate 29 from Grand Forks to Oslo, Minn, around 1 p.m. Wednesday, claiming about 500 to 600 acres of land, estimated Manvel Fire Chief Steven Schumer. Other fires popped up in northwest Minnesota and near Pembina, N.D. Wednesday.
