Krueger Farms worked to harvest its last 90 acres of corn Thursday several miles east of East Grand Forks, Minn. The corn was several percentage points drier than a couple of weeks ago because of the recent cold, dry weather. The corn, an 86 day variety, was yielding well, according to Ben Krueger.

Storms further delay wheat harvest
Farmers are sorting out damage from a string of storms that hit parts of eastern North Dakota and west-central Minnesota on Wednesday and Thursday. Some areas were hit with as much 4 inches, leading to flash flood warnings in several counties. Some reported high winds and hail, too.

Emily Gorder, 10, of Fargo, in early April was declared the winner of a North Dakota Ag at the Capitol Day poster contest.
