Unloading wind turbine blades


Lake Superior Warehousing employees add a wind turbine blade to a line of blades in August. The blades – each 121 feet long – are part of an order of blades made in Grand Forks, N.D., that are being exported to Brazil. The port could see fewer shipments of wind turbine parts if a federal tax credit isn’t renewed, environmental groups and Mayor Don Ness say. (File / News Tribune)
