Sediment testing


Minnesota West agriculture students Eric Wieneke (left) and Stuart Rogers work with sediment samples taken Feb. 22 from Lake Okabena. The samples were oven-dried for 48 hours and then placed in a high-temperature furnace for two hours to burn off the organic matter. Today, students will reweigh the samples and calculate the amount of organic matter that was in the samples.
