The Plant Materials Center in Bismarck, N.D., is monitoring the Big Sagebrush plant.


These young cottonwood trees are removed from the soil by employees of Lincoln-Oakes Nurseries, which shares space with the Natural Resources Conservation Service’s Plant Materials Center at Bismarck, N.D. The trees will be replanted in conservation plantings across the Upper Midwest.
