A pair of U.S. Fish and Wildlife officers, seeking information on a wetland drainage, came first to Daniel VonEye’s shop, center of operations for a 18,000-acre farming operation. The next day, they came to his nearby home office, where one of them allegedly physically pushed him when he declined to answer some of their questions. They then went to a 77-year-old landlord’s house, where they were told to leave.
