UMD bus service

University of Minnesota Duluth students wait to board a Duluth Transit Authority bus at Kirby Student Center in Duluth on Tuesday afternoon. UMD is working to make nearly $12 million in cuts this year. One proposed way to raise money is for students, staff and faculty to pay a fee for rides on the DTA, which historically has been free. The student fee would be charged to students each semester, and the staff and faculty fee would be optional for those who want to purchase a bus pass. (Clint Austin / caustin@duluthnews.com)
