Former Harcourt Brace Jovanovich building

The old Harcourt Brace Jovanovich building at 130 W. Second St. in downtown Duluth is going through a complete remodel, inside and out, as it is readied for new tenants ARI Network Services and Lake Superior College. The unsightly facade was removed in recent weeks to reveal the old company name and a storefront with windows that goes back to its early uses as a car dealership and a furniture store. That discovery prompted plans to be altered and the original window height restored. (Bob King / rking@duluthnews.com)
