Visiting the oil patch

Members of the Izaak Walton League toured the Bakken oil patch this summer, including this oil rig in northwestern North Dakota, to see firsthand how the oil boom is affecting wildlife and wild places like the Killdeer State Wildlife Area and Theodore Roosevelt National Park. They’ll talk about their trip Wednesday night at Hartley Nature Center in Duluth. (Photos by Barry Drazkowski)
