Preservation projects

Clockwise, from top left: Duluth’s Old Fire Hall No. 1, built in 1889, will receive a restoration award from the Duluth Preservation Alliance during its annual awards event on Monday. Twelve apartments have been created in the hall and the original stable for horses to the right. Other awards will include: This large Georgian-style house with a restored third-floor balcony, the Lester River Fish Hatchery building, and a two-story addition that looks original to a house built in 1928.
