Governor: Wisconsin ag department chief dies

MADISON, Wis. — Rod Nilsestuen, who headed the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture as a “visionary agriculture leader” and helped dramatically increase the state’s milk and cheese production, has died, Gov. Jim Doyle’s office said late Wednesday.
