Record acres of corn left in December N.D. fields
Never before have so many acres of corn been left unharvested this late in a season in North Dakota, according to estimates from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Only 53 percent of the state's corn crop was harvested by Sunday, far behind normal and leaving up to 92 million bushels of corn still in the field.By: Stephen J. Lee, Grand Forks Herald
