To comment on Larry B in St Paul/Woodbury, we are all in the same boat for the economy. We all have had to watch our nickels and dimes. Also, everyone has been or will be affected in upcoming state budget cuts, including possible changes in subsidies. The thing to ask yourself is this: Is it better for subsidy money to go to a local ethanol plant putting money back into state economy or to a business that spends more dollars outside of state lines? Farmers don't take up much of the State Budget but contribute many dollars to the economy.

Bio fuels are a answer to the economic times and by providing fuels such as this can cut costs for farmers and others. Turning waste into a viable product is never a waste.

Greg: "Biofuel - based on fuel derived from organic biomass from recently living animals or plants or their byproducts." Apparently there are several different kinds of biofuel - bioethanol, biodeisel being most common. I know no one likes to reference wikipedia... but, the info there is quite extensive: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biofuel

this is the economic dilemma we face as a nation. every group defends their subsidy as absolutely essential. and the politicians play to it.
