We are somehow amazed how economics drives people's decisions. To put ecological values on par with economic values we will need to incorporate those values at a microeconomic level, rather than just macroeconomic levels (policies). This is proposed to occur through an EcoCommerce framework - www.ecocommerce.us.com. Farmers can read economic signals, but only if they are clear and real.
