Travis Skonseng

Travis grew up in Wahpeton, ND. He attended NDSU for Business and Psychology. After graduating, he went back to school at MSUM for a broadcasting degree. Travis started at WDAY in May 2008. Prior to joining the WDAY team, he worked at the FOX News Station in Fargo for 4.5 years. There he did everything from behind the scenes work to fill in weather to weekend anchoring. Travis has won North Dakota and Minnesota Associated Press awards for reporting. He co-anchors First News and reports during the week. Please feel free to drop an email with story ideas.

Daughter of Moorhead fire victim thankful for quick response

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - You can credit firefighters for the saving the life of a Moorhead homeowner, dragged from her burning home. They found her using thermal imagery. Eighty-six year-old Elaine Carlson's remains in intensive care tonight. She was taken to Sanford for smoke inhalation.

Witness recounts scene of downtown train-pedestrian accident

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Amazingly a Fargo man escapes death after walking around a railroad crossing arm, then getting hit by a train. Sixty-one year old Dan Hassel is at Sanford, with injuries to his head and upper body. His condition is not being released at this time.
