Dunn County has a new sheriff: Coker accepts offer for administrative position
MANNING — Dunn County will have a new sheriff on Monday. Number of vets using benefits increasing
They’ve been to places most Americans will never see, under conditions no one wants to think about, in countries with names most people cannot spell. Where has the winter wheat gone?
This year’s North Dakota winter wheat crop is predicted to be down 56 percent from 2012, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture National Agricultural Statistics Service’s North Dakota Office. Though winter wheat is down by 400,000 acres from 2012, the average yield is still projected to be 52 bushels per acre in North Dakota, according to the USDA. Driving down First Street East in Dickinson, nothing at first glance seemed amiss Tuesday morning — workers rushed through crosswalks in suits and heels just before 8 a.m. like they do every weekday morning, as the American flag at the U.S. Post Office waved above the traffic.
