BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Farmers and ranchers in some parts of North Dakota are getting a little more time to remove hay bales from roadside ditches, because of wet weather.
The state Transportation Department says the deadline to remove bales has been extended until Nov. 15 in the Minot, Valley City, Devils Lake and Fargo districts.
State law sets a Nov. 1 deadline for hay removal, for snow management and safety reasons.
