FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Officials from the North Dakota Soybean Council and North Dakota State University are heading to Florida to study soybean rust.
Soybean Council Vice President Monte Peterson says the seminar is at a University of Florida research station.
Asian soybean rust hasn't been found in North Dakota. Peterson says the trip in late August is a proactive move on the part of the council and NDSU. He says officials want to learn how to identify and track rust, in case it becomes necessary in North Dakota.
