The 24th Annual North Dakota Farm Toy Show is held every Father’s Day weekend. This year on June 20 and 21 collectors in the upper Midwest come to LaMoure, located in the southeastern corner of North Dakota to visit, collect, view and trade their farm toy collectibles and more.

The weekend starts on Friday, June 19, with a Toy Farmer Open Golf Tournament at Memorial Park Country Club. That evening, Toy Farmer Publications hosts a social and dinner at the Toy Farmer home office with its Toy Farmer Museum being the centerpiece of landscape. The Toy Farmer Museum is housed in a barn originally built in 1916 as a stable for championship draft horses. The museum has many featured guest displays, farm collectibles, farming scenes and a gift shop. It is open year round with the exception of holidays, and admission is free.

General admission to the North Dakota Farm Toy Show starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at the LaMoure school. A craft show is also displayed in the LaMoure school gym on both days. The LaMoure Lions Club prepares a chicken barbecue in Sunset Park at 5 p.m. To round out the evening there is a consigned farm toy auction. General admission opens at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 21, and the show ends at 2 p.m.

In addition to the North Dakota toy show, the Toy Farmer is the sponsor of the annual National Farm Toy Show held in Dyersville, Iowa, each November. This year’s dates are Nov. 6-8.

The monthly publication of Toy Farmer magazine is entering its 32nd year and features articles on collectors, scratch builders, farm layout contests and along with the latest auction and toy show information from around the country.
