A 70-year-old Brandon man was taken to Douglas County Hospital Tuesday afternoon following an accident with a tractor.

A 70-year-old Brandon man was taken to Douglas County Hospital Tuesday afternoon following an accident with a tractor.

When emergency crews arrived on scene at a residence on County Road 58 near Brandon, they found that Richard Gulbranson’s leg was pinned between a tractor and a tree.

Gulbranson was reportedly working on the tree and parked the tractor a short distance away, uphill, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The tractor’s parking brake gave way, causing the tractor to roll backward, pinning Gulbranson up against the tree.

Gulbranson was taken to the hospital via North Ambulance. He was treated and released.

The Brandon First Responders were also called to the scene.
