Dairy research and promotion board reorganizes

Eleven new members have been elected to the Minnesota Dairy Research and Promotion Council Board.

Eleven new members have been elected to the Minnesota Dairy Research and Promotion Council Board.

Board members represent dairy farmers in their district and make decisions regarding the expenditure of dairy check-off funds. They also oversee the promotion council’s activities and serve as advocates for Minnesota’s dairy industry.

These newly-elected members will serve two-year terms on the 22-member board:

•District 1: Dan Grunhovd, Gary.

•District 3: Kristine Spadgenske, Menahga.

•District 5: Debi Clasemann, Long Prairie.

•District 7: Suzanne Vold, Glenwood.

•District 9: John Merdan, Avon.

•District 11: Daniel J. Olson, Paynesville.

•District 13: Paul Stuewe, Cologne.

•District 15: Barbara Liebenstein, Dundas.

•District 17: James Dose, Lake City.

•District 19: Judy Hoffman, Waseca.

•District 21: Andy Kronebusch, Winona.

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) conducts and certifies agricultural promotion council elections.
