Lutheran Island Camp, located on a 67-acre island in the middle of East Battle Lake near Henning, will offer five weeks of day camp this summer for youth ages 5-12, from several communities in the region. The day camps will be held June 8-12, June 15-19, July 6-10, July 20-24, and July 27-31. Day camp hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
Each week campers will enjoy five days of fun on the island with activities including swimming, boating, crafts, Bible study, horseback riding (as time permits), hiking, picnics, as well as other sports, games and activities.
The cost is $85 per child for each week. This amount may be tax deductible for children who would normally be in daycare. Children of all faiths are welcome. Visit the camp’s website at www.islandcamp.org or call (218) 583-2905 for more information.
