The annual Cheese Curd Festival will include a new event: The Double Barrel Tour.

The tour is a highlight of the festival, which runs June 25-28 at the Pierce County Fairgrounds. Scheduled for June 27, it features country music stars Rhett Akins and Andy Griggs.

Both artists have numerous hits, including “She Said Yes,” “That Ain’t My Truck” and “You Won’t Ever Be Lonely.”

Most recently, Akins co-wrote the song “Put a Girl In It” for Brooks and Dunn, which made it as a Top 5 country hit. Akins has also co-written songs for Rodney Atkins, Jake Owen and Blake Shelton.

Akins and Griggs will be joined by two other national recording artists, Danielle Peck and Ash Bowers.

Peck’s new digital album release, “Can’t Behave,” debuted Top 5 on the iTunes Top Country Albums chart.

The main concert will be held in front of the fairgrounds grandstand.

Along with the show, organizers plan to expand the evening’s festivities by opening the gates earlier to accommodate live side stage entertainment, food and prize giveaways before and between the scheduled acts. A limited number of upfront VIP tickets will be sold.

Tickets are available at Hinck’s Economart, Jo Jo’s Jewelry and Gifts, Bank Mutual and American Family Insurance in Ellsworth and Plum City.

Cost is $25 for general admission and $50 for VIP seating. Call (715) 273-6442; www.ellsworthchamber.com.
