AREA BUSINESS NOTEBOOK: Flea market schedule released

For the second summer, flea markets will be at the Pottery Place Center, 2000 Old West Main St. Summer Sunday Flea Markets will be the first and third Sundays from May through October.

For the second summer, flea markets will be at the Pottery Place Center, 2000 Old West Main St. Summer Sunday Flea Markets will be the first and third Sundays from May through October.

Scheduled dates are: May 3 and 17; June 7 and 21; July 5 and 19; Aug. 2, 16; Sept. 6 and 20; and Oct. 4 and 18. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine.

"The tough economy has created a new market for flea market goods and services in the Midwest" said Bernie Bussman, flea market coordinator.

Vendor spaces are available, and there's room for expansion this year, he said. Vendors get 15-by-18-foot spaces and can rent tables. Contact Bussman at potteryantiques@everythingredwing.com or at (507) 202-5696.

• Jerett Reuter, a 2006 graduate of Red Wing High School, has joined Body Kneads Massage and Wellness Center. Reuter is the first male member of the massage staff, said Dawn Bennett, owner of Body Kneads.

Reuter is nearing completion of the massage therapy program at Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical, and will receive both his diploma and AAS degree. He has more than 850 hours of training in massage therapy, including Swedish Massage and Chair Massage experience.

"I've helped train Jerett myself," said Bennett, who is also an instructor at Southeast Technical.
