SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A farmer from Watertown has agreed to pay $10,000 to South Dakota State University for reselling a patented variety of wheat seed.

According to a consent judgment filed in federal court, Dale Zemlicka will also work with the Brookings school to destroy any infringing seed.

SDSU has filed five lawsuits accusing farmers of reselling proprietary wheat seed.
