FARGO – A Fargo MeritCare course that has drawn complaints for using live pigs went ahead as planned this week, a spokeswoman said.
Carrie Haug said sedated pigs were used in trauma training classes on Monday and Tuesday.
The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a nonprofit that opposes using animals in research, has pushed the hospital to stop using pigs in the training program.
