Go back in time at Tractor Plowing Day

The second annual Tractor Plowing Day will take place Saturday, October 3 at noon at the Jim Waldorf farm in Gordon Township, north of Osakis.

A fun day of friends bringing out their old tractors has now become tradition.

The second annual Tractor Plowing Day will take place Saturday, October 3 at noon at the Jim Waldorf farm in Gordon Township, north of Osakis.

The public is invited to come out and watch neighbors show off their plowing skills with their antique tractors.

Anyone with an old tractor is encouraged to bring it along for some old-fashioned field work.

Last year, a total of eight tractors ranging from 1935 to 1958 were used. The plows ranged from one-bottom to four-bottom, with no hydraulics.

In addition, a just-for-fun old-time tractor pull will take place at 3 p.m. followed by a hog roast, potluck supper and bonfire.

The Waldorf farm is located on County Road 37. From Osakis, take Highway 27 east to County Road 37 and follow the signs.

For more information call Jim at (320) 808-0392.
