Expo features ag-related demonstrations

The North Dakota State University Extension Service has scheduled a Precision Agriculture Expo in conjunction with the NDSU Research Extension Center field day tour on July 14 in Dickinson.

The North Dakota State University Extension Service has scheduled a Precision Agriculture Expo in conjunction with the NDSU Research Extension Center field day tour on July 14 in Dickinson.

The expo will include information and demonstrations relating to crops and livestock.

The ProID bale tagger, which is a precision information add-on system for hay balers will be demonstrated. It stores bale information to create a profile of individual bales. Air seeder carts capable of varying fertilizer rates and an ultrahigh frequency cattle tagging system also will be demonstrated.

Indoor and outdoor exhibit areas will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The expos will follow lunch with educational presentations from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. The expo includes an evening meal from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Dickinson Recreation Center, 2004 Fairway St.
