The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Office getting ready to help low-income homeowners make needed repairs.

Borrowers can take out up to $20,000, with repayment terms extending to 20 years based on repayment ability. Grants of up to $7,500 are available for those aged 62 years and older. Income guidelines for the program range from $19,850 annually for a one-person household to $28,350 for a home of four.
