Spring brings a baby quilt and delicious cake

Happenings at Community Memorial Homes the week of April 26-May 2.

Chaplain Wayne Larson conducted worship service on Sunday morning at Terrace Heights Chapel. Pianist was Ina Larson. Thank you to the volunteers who helped and to those who conducted a Catholic Communion service.

Sunday afternoon we had a music program by The Nightengale Melodies.

Assisting at Monday morning Rosary were Carol Kraemer, Mary Weiland, Kathy Berg, Maxine Waldvogel and Larraine Marthaler.

Monday afternoon several residents enjoyed going over to Terrace Heights to play bingo while others stayed to help tie a baby quilt.

Keeping Minds Active met on Tuesday morning.

Tuesday afternoon ladies from the Osakis Presbyterian Church hosted the monthly birthday party. Assisting and bringing an assortment of delicious cakes for lunch were Luella Johnson, Joan Bischoff and Madelyn Hale. Entertainement was provided by Ellen Bangtson, Rev. Tim Sutton, Louie Gray and Sherry Marx.

Father Ralph Zimmerman of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Osakis celebrated Mass on Wednesday morning at Terrace Heights Chapel. Assisting were Bob Schluender, Helena Schultz, Gladys Schlosser and Jen Sibell.

The Osakis Review was read before dinner.

Wednesday afternoon, several residents enjoyed playing bingo at West View. The Rev. Ron Calvert conducted chapel service on Wednesday afternoon. A Frankie Yankovic video was shown before supper.

Bible study was held on Thursday morning with ladies from the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Included in the group were Mary Fromklin, Lisa Buffington, Brend Faust, Bea Stahn, Allison Wardell, Christopher Wirth, Jaden Holewa, Mackenzie and Zachary Fiskness.

Myl Harris assisted with manicures during Nifty Nails.

Thursday afternoon we enjoyed the music played by the Prairie Ramblers. Included in the group were Gladys and Elwood Grove and Janetta Wenzel.

The Rev. Ron Calvert led a Bible study group.

Ruth Hinnenkamp assisted at the Friday afternoon games party.
