Valley Outreach is seeking artists who want to participate in the inaugural "Woodies on the Water Art Fair" at the Bayport Marina on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition to the art fair, Woodies on the Water will feature an antique and classic boat show, vintage Model A cars from the Twin City Ford Model A Club and AmphiCars, the original hybrid — a car that is also a boat.

“The lovingly restored and meticulously maintained antique and classic boats, vintage Model A cars, and AmphiCars that will be featured at Woodies on the Water are unique works of art in alternative media and by also including more traditional works of art by local area artists, we will have something of interest for everyone at this exciting family event,” said Nanc MacLeslie, community relations manager at Valley Outreach.

Artists who are interested in more information about participating in the Woodies on the Water Art Fair may call MacLeslie at (651) 430-2739, ext. 4, or e-mail community.relations@valleyoutreachmn.org.

“We will be announcing more highlights of Woodies on the Water soon and we hope a lot of folks will be joining us on Aug. 8, at the Bayport Marina,” MacLeslie said.

Admission to the event is free. Donations for the Valley Outreach Food Shelf are welcome. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

All proceeds will benefit the Valley Outreach Food Shelf serving hungry families in the St. Croix Valley since 1983.

Valley Outreach, established in 1983, is a community-based, privately-funded nonprofit serving St. Croix Valley residents in need of food through its food shelf, clothing and household essentials through Dawn’s Closet, and emergency financial assistance through its Emergency Fund.
