SIBLEY, Iowa — Beef weigh-in will be from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Osceola County Fairgrounds. All members must be in line before 10 a.m.
At 10 a.m., there will be retinal imaging, weigh-in and tagging for the Iowa State Fair participants. No late I.D.’s will be permitted.
Any 4-H or FFA member planning on showing individual market beef and/or a pen of three market beef must weigh in and ear tag animals that day. Each exhibitor may weigh in a maximum of six calves. Exhibitors are allowed to show two pens of three and up to three individual animals. Pen of three and individual animals will be designated at the fair weigh-in.
All commercial heifers must have tattoos and if a heifer was weighed in as a market heifer in January and was switched for show as a breeding heifer, it will be removed from the I.D. form.
