MELROSE, Minn. (AP) — Several calves have gone missing in Stearns County, and authorities say they didn't wander off.

Farmers reported six calves were taken overnight on Friday and Saturday in Melrose Township and St. Martin Township. They said the calves were in a barn or in calf hutches on farm property.

Sheriff John Sanner says it appears someone parked nearby, walked to the farm and carried off the calves. They are four Holstein bulls, one Holstein heifer and one Jersey heifer.
