They are big shoes to fill, but Ryan Sterry is up to the challenge.
Sterry has been hired as the St. Croix County University of Wisconsin-Extension agriculture agent. He replaces long-time agent Lee Milligan, who died in January.
Sterry currently works as the Polk County UW-Extension agent. He’ll start work at the Baldwin office on Aug. 23.
Sterry comes from a farm background, growing up near Osseo. He attended college at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and UW-Madison, earning a degree in dairy science. Sterry has worked in Polk County for four years.
Sterry said he’s worked on projects with the St. Croix County office in the past, so he’s familiar with how things are run locally.
He specializes in dairy, livestock and business aspects.
