Richardton ethanol plant getting busy

RICHARDTON (AP) — The Red Trail Energy ethanol plant at Richardton is getting busier as farmers are finally harvesting the delayed corn crop.

RICHARDTON (AP) — The Red Trail Energy ethanol plant at Richardton is getting busier as farmers are finally harvesting the delayed corn crop.

Grain merchandiser Calvin Diehl says the plant has been operating longer hours, and also on Saturdays.

He says the plant never ran out of grain. But CEO Gerald Bachmeier says the corn is arriving just in time. Officials say the quality is good, too.
