NDSU to host reproductive management workshop

North Dakota State University’s Animal Sciences Department is hosting a small-ruminant reproductive management workshop on campus Nov. 10-12. This workshop is for veterinarians who treat small ruminants and veterinary students.

This workshop is for veterinarians who treat small ruminants and veterinary students.

Topics that will be covered include:

  • Reproduction in sheep and goats.
  • Methods of estrous synchronization and superovulation.
  • Semen collection, evaluation and preservation.
  • Development of teaser rams.
  • Laparoscopic artificial insemination.
  • Embryo collection and transfer.
  • Ultrasonography.
