Sustainable agriculture sessions planned in Medina

MEDINA, N.D. – FARRMS, a nonprofit foundation for sustainability in Medina, is offering a five-part sustainable farm series beginning in October. Taught by experienced farmers, these five one-day education sessions begin with farm planning on Oct. 30.

MEDINA, N.D. – FARRMS, a nonprofit foundation for sustainability in Medina, is offering a five-part sustainable farm series beginning in October.

Taught by experienced farmers, these five one-day education sessions begin with farm planning on Oct. 30.

Topics for session two on Nov. 13 and Nov. 20 will be selected at the request of the participants and include CSA production, livestock production, organic crop production and more.

Marketing for a farm’s individual goals will be the focus of the Dec. 11 session. Adding value to your farm products will be the subject of the final class on Jan. 8.

All sessions will be at the FARRMS classroom, 301 5th Ave. S.E., Medina.

The series is open to anyone interested in diversified or sustainable farming. The cost of the five sessions is $200 per farm, with a $25 application fee.
