Watermelon Day set Aug. 15 in Vining

VINING, Minn. – The annual Watermelon Day here will be Aug. 15.
Events begin at 7 a.m. with breakfast at Vining Lutheran Church, followed by a “Run for the Melon” 5k/10k walk/run. Other events throughout the day include an arts and crafts show, petting zoo, music, children’s games, free watermelon, bingo, parade and a pie and ice cream social.
