Beltrami County Farm Bureau Breakfast on the Farm will be held Saturfday at the Wilde Angus Ranch, south of U.S. Highway 2 near Shevlin.
The farm and ranch beef expo from noon to 3 p.m. opens with a free pancake breakfast on the farm from 9 a.m. to noon.
Featured speaker at the event is Kevin Paap, president of the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation, a corn and soybean producer in Blue Earth County.
Local legislators and county commissioners will also be on hand. At 11:30 a.m., a children’s book reading will be held by local author D.L. Houseman.
Demonstrations will be held from noon to 3 p.m., which include Wilde cattle on display and cutting horse demonstrations, beef tasting and cooking demonstrations, cattle judging, ultrasound technology and fitting clinic by the Minnesota Beef Council and health and reproduction information from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Also, there will be breed associations booths and a Minnesota Department of Agriculture update on bovine tuberculosis, feed and crop information, Minnesota AbrAbility booth and others.
On the farm will be farm equipment, buildings and supplies displays, and White Oak Antique Tractor Club tractors. Farm tours will also be available.
